World War One . . . a review

Review of World War One 1914 - 1918

Remember our analogy in class regarding active studying . . . you can't just get fit by going to the gym and looking at the equipment - you actually have to pick it up and start using it to make a difference.  Studying is no different . . . the brain is a muscle and it needs a work out during studying to make any difference.  Just looking at the textbook or your notebook is usually not enough for most learners.  Try making your own study cards or study notes, create neumonics or catch phrases to help you remember key ideas or concepts, use a "study buddy" and "read alouds" to review material or even try "surfing the net" for some good websites that are interesting and engaging to you.  Try this one

Inquiring Based Learning World War One

Inquiring minds want to know . . . what about you?  What are you most interested in learning a little more about from World War One?  Follow the criteria given in class to create a "one page" multimedia (something we can see and hear) demonstration of your learnings.

Here are some websites other have found useful.  Perhaps they will help you too.  If you find another great resource along the way, please share it with our learning community by emailing it to me

Even animals played a role

Inquiry based learning assignments are due on Wednesday, November 13.  Please email them to yourself (at the gmail account you created for this assignment)  so that we can watch and listen to them on the ipads during class.
