Mini-Debate Socials 11 Immigration

Socials 11 students . . . please select and PRINT OUT one article of your choice related to your political party's position on immigration in preparation for our class mini-debate on the issue of immigration in Canada, Tuesday, November 3.  Some of our Essential Questions that may help you focus your search for an article include

• Are immigrants desirable for Canada?
•If so, how many are desirable for Canada each year?
•Are there any specific age/sex/education/employability/income/etc factors to consider?
•What about refugees as immigrants?
•If so, how many?  from where in the world?  under what circumstances?
