Inquiring minds want to know . . . what about you? What are you most interested in learning a little more about from World War One? Follow the criteria given in class to create a "one page" multimedia (something we can see and hear) demonstration of your learnings.
Here are some websites other have found useful. Perhaps they will help you too. If you find another great resource along the way, please share it with our learning community by emailing it to me

A MOST amazing celebration!
Socials 11's, you should feel very proud of your Global Heritage Projects which were so thoughtfully shared and celebrated in class today. I think we all felt a little more pride in being Canadian and the unique ways each of us and our families have contributed (and are still contributing today) the Canadian Identity. Thank you for being so truly "Canadian" in genuinely celebrating each other and the unique heritage we bring to Canada. Well done!

Underground Railway . . . to Canada
Canada's multicultural identity grew significantly in the 1800's due to immigration. One method black American LOYALISTS used to get to Canada was the "Underground Railroad", which wasn't an actual railway, even though it had 'passengers', 'stations', and 'conductors'. It was all a code system designed to get black slaves wanting to stay loyal to Britain, freedom in Canada.
