He's INNOCENT!

Wow! Congratulations to all 3 blocks of Social Studies 10 classes with the very successful 2012 trial of Louis Riel. Your hard work and commitment to the research and the simulation were fantastic! Louis is a lucky guy to have his freedom. Well done.

ONE THOUSAND CRANES

Hi Socials 11. We are one of the fortunate classes which will get to see this theatre presentation.  It sounds like an excellent connection for us as we've begun studying the realities of war and examining the connections to us, in our daily lives, here in Richmond, 2012.
  • McMath Multicultural Club is pleased to announce that Bunkaza Theatre Company is visiting us to present One Thousand Cranes during the second block on Thu, Feb 9th The Bunkaza is a professional Japanese theatre company with a 70-year record of excellence, so this is a rare opportunity for us.  This story is an award-winning play by Colin Thomas and weaves together two stories, "In the first, which is based on the true story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl discovers that she has radiation-induced leukemia nine years after the bombing of Hiroshima.  The second story is about Buddy, a Canadian boy who is afraid of nuclear war and thinks there's nothing he can do to stop it..."  The play will be presented in Japanese and English.
