Technology of Warfare . . . World War One Style

The Ross Rifle??? . . . really??

Emerging technology played a major role in the evolution of warfare during World War One.   One of the Canadian developed technologies used during combat was the "Ross Rifle".

 Below is a link to an article that points out many of the "technical difficulties" faced by soldiers using the Ross Rifle during trench warfare (heavy at 9 pounds, mis-firing, jamming). . . and their solution to take British designed and made Lee Enfields off dead soldiers in  no man's land.
